Still, compared to something like WoW or Lineage, these environments look a lot more 'realistic', organic and natural compared to the extremely angular landscapes of those other games. One thing i noticed is the 15sec timer counts down but the other timers on the ring dont, and i never lose a charge.

I just recently upgraded from chariot to the empress ring. At low levels this will get you up to speed quite fast. Before you start, be sure to go the chocobo circuit (choco) or the AH in your city (depicted by a mallet on your map) to buy: Equipment and weapons Periskos Au Lait (HP Regen) Melon Juice (MP Regen) Brain Stew Dusky Indulgence Melon Pie +1 Persikos Sole Sushi Sole sushi +1 Jack-o-Lantern Bison Steak Cerberus Meat Dragon Meat Hedgehog Pie Marbled Steak Porcupine Pie Sis Kebabi Sis Kebabi +1. They'd have to resample/replace every existing texture in the game for the 360 and if they didn't do it for PC, they're not going to start now. Using xp ring, you can get 150-200 xp per kill on easy - decent mob, sometimes more. They're not going to bump up the texture detail for either of those versions because Square's Square and they have already stated they're not going to change anything beyond putting the same textures, but in hi-res since they have to accomodate PS2 users.

#Ffxi toau camp spots Pc#
The resolution alone would suggest that these are either PC or 360 screens. There have to be compromises when there's no predicting how many players could come storming by at any minute, with all of the skillchains and spell effects FFXI throws out at any given time. I think few MMO players expect the huge expanses in their perpetual environments to be extra detailed, especially since they're usually running around and not looking at the ground.
